The series has a great cast, and I love my "boss" more than any other custom character I've created in a game. But to do.what, exactly? There's no more content, except for another hour or two of probable DLC missions in the future, and you're so overpowered you don't need to ever call anyone to help you, much less the 16 different people the game puts at your disposal.Įnter the Dominatrix is a fun diversion and it's nice to see your old friends the Saints again.
The DLC also function as a weapon/costume/ally pack, and by the end, you'll have a bunch of new guns and "homies" to call for back-up. Nearly every Dominatrix mission has you defeating 3-5 waves of enemies, and even on the hardest difficulty I didn't even come close to dying with all my powers and upgrades at my disposal. You have every superpower, every weapon, and a bigger lifebar than you know what to do with. They're just too easy, and made even more so by the fact that at this point, if you feel the need to download Saints Row DLC, you've probably maxed out your character. It's still funny, but only to a point.Īs for the missions? Well, they suffer from the same problems of those of the original Saints Row IV. At this point Saints Row IV doesn't just break the fourth wall any more, they've smashed it into dust and tap dance on the remnants. We meet characters like Donny, a Morpheus-type figure who was cut from Saint Row IV completely, and is pretty miffed about it. The missions are presented through funny little "behind the scenes" featurettes where the cast talks to a camera, or narrates the action as it unfolds onscreen.
